A Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant was developed by B & G Solar Private Limited in Komal West Village, Kuttalam Taluk, Nagapattinam District, Tamil Nadu, India. This Plant is of the capacity of 1 MW and was successfully commissioned on 10th June, 2011. It is the 'FIRST" Plant in Tamil Nadu and at "All India Level" , under the Rooftop PV and Small Solar Generation Program (RPSSGP), under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM) scheme, approved by IREDA / MNRE, Govt. of India. The average solar radiation for the site is 1950.2 kWh/m2. The Plant has been generating an average of 14.9 million units per annum (i.e. 1490000 kWh) for the past 2 years and 3 months of successful operation with a Plant Load Factor of 17.09%.
Details of the project
